Neuromodulators (Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport®)

Neuromodulators (Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport®)

Neuromodulators such as Botox® and Dysport® work to soften some of the facial wrinkles (rhytids) that are caused by repetitive muscle motion.  These injections temporarily weaken the treated muscles and can be used to treat forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, to soften the fine lines around the mouth, and soften neck bands.

What to Expect After Treatment

Patients experience the full effects in about seven to ten days and the results generally last for three to four months.  Minimal swelling and bruising can occasionally occur.  It is recommended that immediately after the treatment, the head stay elevated for three hours and that patients avoid massaging the treated area or exercising for up to twelve hours. In our practice, we strive to provide natural results to give you a refreshed look, while avoiding an “overdone” or “frozen” appearance, while using the smallest number of units necessary to achieve your desired results.

Dr. Cynthia M. Gregg, and her nurse injectors provide Botox® and Dysport® along with a full complement of injectable fillers. Call our office in Cary, North Carolina today to set up a consultation.
